The anticipated web series Masaba Masaba just released on Netflix. The show is a fictional telling of the lives of mother-daughter duo i.e. evergreen actress Neena Gupta and renowned fashion designer Masaba Gupta. Although the show was scripted but it was heavily inspired by their real life.
The show comes as a breath of fresh air, during the time when female-centric shows have become quite common. It depicts Masaba trying to balance her personal and professional life while her mother Neena Gupta has her own set of struggles as she beautifully tries to break through the stereotype that age is really just a number.
Neena Gupta is often seen giving excellent performance in all the projects she features in and the new web series is no exception. However, this was Masaba’s first time debuting as an actor and she was exceptional and effortlessly natural with her role. The show also starred Neel Bhoopalam who poses as an investor and is pretty convincing with his role, Rytasha Rathore who debuted with a power-packed performance. Other actors like Nayan Shukla, Satyadeep Mishra and Smaran Sahu also shined flawlessly in their roles.
Here is what the netizens are saying about the new show:
It really feels like the season for people to recognize Black/Indian people exist. Two cultures melted into one. #MasabaMasaba is definitely going to amplify this group of people. As well as Kamala Harris.

I binged #MasabaMasaba last night and it delivers exactly what it promises. It's a fun little factionalized-mock-insight into Masaba's life. There's drama, there's laughs there's a stock of cute guys and it's the light hearted entertainment we need in this lockdown ♥️
