Multitalented sensation Mohanlal has begun the shoot for the sequel of the superhit Malayalam thriller ‘Drishyam’ titled ‘Drishyam 2’ owing to some relaxation in the restrictions by the government due to the pandemic. It was around the month of May, during Mohanlal’s 60th B’day he officially announced that the upcoming film will go on floors soon.
The actor also shared some pics from the sets of the film where a pooja ceremony took place ahead of the film’s shoot. Fans were excited after seeing the pictures and gave their best wishes to the entire cast and crew of the film.

Jeethu Joseph, who directed the original returns to helm the sequel as well. The 2013 release was a superhit thriller which gained wide acclaim owing to its unique storyline and amazing performances. It dealt with how a family comes together during the time of crisis no matter what is to be dealt with.
The film also had a Bollywood adaptation with the same name featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu.
