It was recently announced by the Union Home Ministry in India that theatres and multiplexes will be allowed to re-open under the 5th phase of ‘Unlock’. The halls will now be allowed to function with 50% capacity from 15 October 2020.
Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also took to his official Twitter profile to share how Multiplex Association of India reacted to the recent development and poster their official statement in one of his tweets.

There were many Bollywood stars who took notice of the important news and expressed enthusiasm as theatrical releases are all set to resume now.

It was around the time of March that the theatres and other public places had to be shut down owing to the nationwide lockdown that got implemented as COVID-19 cases began emerging in India.
The theatres will now be opening after 6 months since the news. Although the Home Ministry has welcomed the resumption of theatres they have still left the final decision up to the specific states within the nation.
