Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta is celebrating her birthday today. She set foot in the industry in 2012 and made her debut with a film called ‘Second Marriage Dot Com’. However, it was in 2015 that she got recognition from her powerful performance as ‘Khanum’, a Bangladeshi-Pakistani lesbian activist who is also blind in Sonali Bose’s film ‘Margarita With a Straw’. She gained prominence once again through OTT platform from her role of Damini Rizvi Roy in Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Four More Shots Please!’. The women-centric web series is a ‘dramedy’ and revolves around the life of 4 best friends as they go through the up and downs of their life while being there for each other. Her character is of a fierce journalist in the series who likes to live life on her own terms. The web series also earned a nomination for itself under the ‘Best Comedy Series’ category for International Emmys!
Her upcoming film is going to be ‘Pagglait’ that will also be streaming on digital space i.e. Netflix.
