The renowned sensation from both television and film industry, Sharad Kelkar celebrated his birthday yesterday. Before following his dreams of being an actor he had participated in pageants and had experiences with teaching. He made his debut as an actor through DD network’s show ‘Aakrosh’ in 2004.
Apart from being an actor, he has also been seen as a host on Indian television for shows like Pati Patni Aur Woh and Rock N Roll Family. He garnered popularity for his critically acclaimed role in Colors TV’s show called ‘Bairi Piya’. He played the role of Thakur Digvijay Singh Bhadoriya in it. He also starred in Uttaran and shared screens with Harsha Kandeparkar. Soon he also starred as Dr Ashutosh in the show ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’.
He made his film debut through the 2004 film Hulchul by Priyadarshan. He also starred in other popular films like ‘1920: Evil Returns’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Lai Bhaari’, ‘A Paying Ghost’, ‘Rocky Handsome’, ‘Irada’, ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Housefull 4’.
He has also significantly starred in the digital space in shows like The Family Man (Amazon Prime Video), Rangbaaz Phir Se (Zee5), Special OPS (Disney+ Hotstar).
He will also be seen in upcoming films like ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and ‘Jersey’.
