One of the prominent faces of the Telegu Cinema, Mahesh Babu, recently celebrated his birthday. Apart from being an exceptional actor and having numerous awards to his name, he is a humble human being who believes in adhering towards the greater good of society.
One of the lesser-known facts about Mahesh is that 30% of his earnings from the entertainment business goes towards NGOs and charities. However, the actor doesn’t believe in publicising his humanitarian activities and prefers to keep mum about it.
Apart from this, he has also participated in other noble initiatives like Men Against Rape and Discrimination (MARD) campaign by Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar.
He has also adopted 2 villages, Burripalem and Siddhapuram in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively. Basic needs of the community like safe drinking water, proper roads, functional drainage systems within the rural area are taken care of by the actor.
He has also been assigned as the goodwill ambassador of ‘Heal-a-child’ foundation. It is an NGO, specially curated to the needs of terminally ill children who are looking for financial support for their heavy medical treatments.
