
Superstar Akshay Kumar unveils two new stills from his upcoming socially relevant film Padman, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.

In this Akshay is seem to have a candid moment with Radhika Apte, who reportedly plays the role of Khiladi Kumar’s wife in the film.
The film will be based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a Tamil Nadu-based social activist who created a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.
The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sudhir Pandey and Maya Alagh in pivotal roles. The film is directed by R. Balki, and slated for 26th January 2018 release.
