When the Pakistani actor controversy raged all across Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan kept a stoic silence on the matter. Being the only superstar who praised India’s surgical strikes across the border, perhaps Shah Rukh refrained from speaking against the Pakistani actors because some of his closest friends – Karan Johar – were not in support of the MNS-led call.
Yet why everyone unequivocally loves Shah Rukh is perhaps because of these reasons:
Shah Rukh Khan was among the few who condemned the attack at Uri –
Saddened to hear of the cowardly attack in Uri. Prayers for the families of our martyred soldiers. & may the terrorists b punished soon!

He was the only superstar to applaud the surgical strikes –
Thnx Indian army for the action against terrorism.V should all pray for safety & well being of our Indian soldiers. pic.twitter.com/7gltoNP937

And on Diwali night, the Bollywood Badshah won the hearts of a billion Indians (as if he had already not won it) with this tweet in which he recites a poem for our soldiers –
Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali. May the Festival of Lights bring with it brightness and goodness in all our lives. Be safe and enjoy. pic.twitter.com/iuHMQpAMgd

And that is not all. SRK was also among the prominent voices who joined the Centre’s call for #SandeshToSoldiers. A part of that poem is here –
I sent my #Sandesh2Soldiers. This Diwali let us all remember our soldiers! via NM App https://t.co/3ibPg9wFLg https://t.co/hfHtGmk9pS

SRK proves every day that he is the most genuine superstar of the country. While he entertains us with his movies, he also reminds us that we are Indians first.
