A new teaser for the upcoming web series titled ‘Scam 1992’ was just released. It has been helmed by renowned director Hansal Mehta and focuses on the biggest stock market scam committed by Harshad Mehta.
The upcoming show is an adaptation of the book ‘The Scam’ written by Debasish Basu and Sucheta Dala. The teaser focuses on a reluctant man telling a leading journalist (probably essaying the role of Sucheta Dalal) about a fraud that has been committed worth 500 crore rupees. The rest of the teaser features quick sequences of the city of Bombay in the year 1980-1990 with a peppy track playing in the background.

The upcoming show will have a cast featuring Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Pratik Gandhi, Rajat Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and so on.

The real-life stockmarket racket from 1992 also revealed several loopholes which were present during the working of the banks and stock market.
The forthcoming show is all set to stream on ‘SonyLiv’. The release date for the same will also be revealed soon.
